Do you tell friends about your absurd hosting deals?

I was thinking. About the young people. And their cloud nonsense. Fifty dollars a month for a VPS that would have filled a whole rack in my day. And I wondered. Do any of you share these bargain prices with normal people. Or do you keep it quiet.

I told my neighbor about my OVHcloud deal once. Three dollars for a year. He looked at me like I was selling stolen goods. Never again. The young people do not understand. They want their serverless functions. Their Kubernetes.

What about you all. Share or stay silent...

At Contabo, we see both sides:

• Some customers love sharing referral codes
• Others prefer keeping deals private to avoid oversubscription on nodes

In my experience, most non-technical friends simply don't care about specs. CPU cores and RAM don't make exciting dinner conversation.

That said, if someone asks directly, I usually point them to our starter plans and let them decide.
