Contabo VPS routing to UAE is garbage

Bought a VPS from Contabo for UAE latency. Traceroute goes Munich-London-Munich-Dubai. 180ms. Just use a map, Contabo. London is *west* of Munich. This is not a skill issue, this is geography.

MTR output if anyone cares:

 1.  10.0.0.1    0.4ms
 2.  contabo.com  45ms
 3.  contabo.com  48ms
 4.  contabo.com  52ms
 5.  ae-3-3.a00.dubai1.  178ms

Same price I could get actual UAE VPS. What am I missing?

Sent ticket yesterday to Contabo about similar issue! They route through own backbone, no local peering in Turkey yet. Made test order with RackNerd also, same problem.

You checked if they even have physical presence there? Some providers just use geodns. Cheers!
