Hello all, I want to share my experience with Contabo hosting. I have cheap VPS plan, only €4 per month. Last night my website down at 3am and I panic. I call their support number, not expecting answer, but someone pick up! Real human! They help me fix database connection issue, slow-slow, and website back online in 15 minutes. I cannot believe this for price I pay. Thank you Contabo, you are amazing. Has anyone else experience like this? Or I am just lucky? Wkwkwk

BRO THAT'S INSANE! NO WAY A $2 HOST ANSWERS THE PHONE AT 3AM! MOST PLACES DON'T EVEN HAVE A PHONE NUMBER! YOU FOUND A UNICORN! SCREENSHOT OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! WHAT NUMBER DID YOU CALL! 💀

- this claim requires verification
- no host at this price point offers telephone support
- the economics do not support the labor cost
- please provide ticket number or call log
- alternatively, this is fabricated

Just use a real host and you won't need 3am phone calls

But seriously, "they answered" — was it outsourced to someone's personal cell? Skill issue if you're on $2 shared hosting expecting enterprise SLA

Under GDPR Article 13, any phone recording requires explicit consent. Did they inform you? Also, this raises questions about data retention if "support" is informal. I hope Contabo has proper processing agreements in place for whatever jurisdiction that operator was in.

Anyway I called them at 3:47am last month, same thing

[code]curl -s https://contabo.com/status | jq '.phone_status'
"forwarded_to_mobile"

Idk why I do this but the whois on their support number matches the founder's linkedin

builds at 3AM, sleeps at noon

Did Contabo actually fix it in 15 minutes, or did they just restart MySQL?
