These are new Supermicro boxes with Samsung PM9A3 drives. They've kept density low — 16 VMs per node max — because noisy neighbors are the worst.

52 boxes and counting, so I had to run the numbers on this one

€50.40 / 12 = €4.20/mo
4GB RAM → €1.05 per GB
80GB NVMe → €0.63 per GB storage
10TB bw → basically free at this point

Compared to my OVHcloud 2GB plan (€3.50/mo, older SATA) this is better $/GB on RAM but I dont need another Nuremberg box, my latency to there from US east is trash. Still tempting for a euro backup though.

Jane any idea what the CPU steal looks like under load? Like if I actually hammer those 2 cores?

Hank's math checks out IMO. I've been on Contabo's older Nuremberg SATA nodes for about a year now, take this with a grain of salt but they've been solid. Had one unplanned reboot in 11 months, support ticket got a real human in ~20 minutes.

The /64 IPv6 is nice, some providers cheap out and give you a single address. YMMV on routing though, my home ISP doesn't do v6 so I can't test that part.

Not sure I need another box but watching this thread for reviews.

Route via DE-CIX adds ~2ms versus my direct RackNerd box in MUC which peers differently. Not bad. Clean path, no weird backhaul to london or amsterdam first.

Will grab one to test properly when I have time.

Does the annual plan let you upgrade later if I need more ram? Like if my project gets bigger. Also is the ipv6 a full /64 or just one address I heard some providers do weird things with that

€4.20/mo for 4gb is decent but I got a 1gb nat box from Hostinger for $3/mo so definately not beating that. Teh Contabo deal is better specs obv but im cheap

Do they have any lower plans or is 4gb the floor — https://contabo.com/en/vps/ — dont need 4gb for my use case, just want teh nvme speed. Also anyone know if they recieve paypal or just crypto
