I tested CloudCone's "improved platform" last month for a client project. Standard KVM, nothing special. Control panel is SolusVM with a skin.
Their $1.50 plan is real but it's 512MB RAM on a node that averages 40:1 oversell. I/O wait spikes to 30% during US evening. Fine for a DNS slave, not for anything interactive.
Would not recommend as a primary even at that price.

Same node? CC-12 or CC-17? I hit CC-17 in March for a chaos engineering box. Node crashed twice in six weeks, no explanation in status page. Just "scheduled maintenance" retroactively applied.
Their status page is fiction. I now run my own uptime monitoring against any provider I use. CloudCone's own SLA is meaningless if they don't acknowledge the downtime.
KnownHost honored deals because they had to. Their managed customer contracts had early termination clauses that would have cost more than the discount.
Different legal structure. Not goodwill.
From Singapore: Hostinger SG has been solid for two years. 3ms to most of Southeast Asia.
If CloudCone forces LA migration I move to HostHatch Singapore same day. Already have pricing, already tested their network. $6/month is 4x my current but I'll pay it for the latency.
Question for the thread: does anyone know if Hostinger's Singapore DC lease is direct with Equinix or subleased from another provider? That changes who I need to watch for change-of-control notices.
Equinix SG1. Hostinger has a direct lease, registered to Hostinger International Ltd since 2019. I can see it in PeeringDB facility records.
CloudCone would inherit or terminate. Given their LA-only footprint, termination is more likely than assumption. Equinix SG1 floor space is not cheap.

Not same yet. CloudCone bought Hostinger, or buying. We don't know full details.
For Da Nang: Singapore is best. Hong Kong is second. Both better than US for you.
Do not buy long term right now. Month to month only until we know what happens.
My NAS in Norfolk runs on a Kimsufi dedi I got in 2019. £4/month, still renewing. Not relevant to this thread but I felt left out.

Anyway, back on topic: I was on that vanished AS204092 reseller cleardmitri mentioned. Woke up one morning, site down, ticket system gone. No email, no refund. Had to reverse the PayPal charge myself.
That's what "vanished" means. Not migration, not price hike. Just gone. Took me three days to rebuild on BuyVM.
For anyone else in that situation: document everything before you chargeback. Some registrars will freeze your domain if you dispute hosting charges, even unrelated services.
Seen it happen. Not worth losing a domain over six months of hosting.
