Fastmail plus their bundled domain registration
Had a look. £60 a year for the domain alone, never mind the mail. That's my "cheap" gone right out the window.
Back to the drawing board. Might just stick with RackNerd for forwarding — https://www.racknerd.com — and run Nextcloud on a Pi at home for calendar. Not integrated, but at least I'm not funding a marketing department to lie to me.

Fastmail domain pricing is USD, not pounds, but your point stands. I resell domains through Namecheap and the margin on a .com is maybe a dollar. The real money is in the upsell. "Integration" is the upsell.
For my Mumbai customers I just set up Cloudflare for DNS, Zoho Mail for the free tier up to five users, and tell them to use Google Calendar with a shared organisation. Not integrated. Functional. Costs nothing.
