Black Friday deals are worse than July random sales now

Been tracking my origin state through three years of deal hunting. 2023 Black Friday was a cache hit, 2024 started showing miss patterns, 2025 July pop from OVHcloud beat everything. No latency improvement on November origin anymore.

Ran the numbers across Contabo, Hetzner, InterServer, Hostinger. Spreadsheet attached: 47 SKUs, renewal rates, actual pop locations. The edge is not where you think it is.

2024 Black Friday median: 12 (was 8 in 2023). July 2025 random sale median: 9. Your origin feels it.

Will pop the sheet link if anyone wants to edge-verify.

RFC 7234 section 4.3 would like a word about your cache semantics.

AS64512 here, prefix 192.0.2.0/24. Your spreadsheet lacks ASN attribution for each provider's anycast. Without upstream visibility this is just heatmaps.

Where's the BGP path data? Which AS path are these pops announcing under?
