Very helpful all. I am do the test:

1. Set s-maxage=300 on API, max-age=30 on edge
2. Check if vRack can apply to shield instance
3. If not, remove shield and monitor origin load

I am report back next week xixixi. Thank you all.

One addition: if you drop shield, ensure your origin has rate limiting per edge IP range. Cloudflare publishes their IPs. OVHcloud edge probably does too. Without shield, your origin sees all edge nodes as "users" and may not throttle correctly.

Corporate netops tip: the edge is now your client. Treat it like one in your nginx/haproxy config.

The thread has forked without execve. Joy: your action items are sound. Others: check your own headers before the bill checks you.

What happened to Joy? It's been two weeks. Did the vRack migration work?
