This. They hide it in the calculator until checkout. Hetzner charges for IPv4 too but at least they tell you upfront — https://www.hetzner.com/cloud. RackNerd includes it in their $10/year specials which is how they get you.

And then you get the abuse reports because someone on the /24 is spamming and the whole range gets UCEPROTECT listed and your mail bounces for a week. You get what you pay for. I used to process these by the thousand. "But I only paid ten dollar" yeah buddy that's the problem.

Haha my Contabo ARM is Rp 89,000/month with IPv4, still cheaper than kopi susu at the mall. I don't send mail from it so UCEPROTECT doesn't matter. For VPN and file sync it's perfect.

Has anyone tried the new Hetzner ARM64 dedicated auction servers? CAX11 is cloud but they had some Ampere boxes in auction last month, €34/month for 80 cores. Overkill for home but I was tempted to split it with friends.

Gone in hours. I had one in cart, went to make coffee, came back to "no longer available." The auction is brutal now that word got out. Stick to cloud if you need it this month.
