Anniversary discount feels insulting this year

I got my anniversary email from Hetzner and the discount feels insulting this year.

Five-year customers received a 15% renewal credit. New customers currently receive 40% off first term via public coupon.

Program specifications:

  • Loyalty credit applies to base plan only, excludes add-ons
  • New-customer discount applies to entire cart including add-ons
  • Loyalty credit does not stack with seasonal promotions
  • New-customer discount stacks with referral credits

I value my own business more than this.

Verify your restores. Weekly. I have been with Leaseweb four years, got a "loyalty" invoice last month that was 22% higher than my original rate. Called support. "Inflation adjustment." New customer page showed 35% below my original. I am now migrating 6TB off their "valued customer" infrastructure. Verify your restores before you trust any host's valuation of you.

Thank you for sharing this, I am with Hetzner two years already. New customer can get more cheap, slow-slow I am feel not good lah. But can you tell me, the 15% credit, can we use for upgrade or not? I am check TOS but not find clear. Thank you thank you. Wkwkwk this is very funny situation, new customer more special than old customer. But I am stay maybe, migration is can be headache. Thank you.

wrap it, ship it, pray it

Hosting loyalty is dead concept, voilà. The French market, we have RackNerd giving "fidelity points" convertible to .pdf certificate. Not to service. To certificate. I print it, voilà, it sits on my desk. Five years, the certificate. New customer gets three months free. The math is simple.

Price bad. Loyalty worse. Five year customer. Reward is email with gif. Gif broken. Perkele. New customer gets nvme. Old customer sata. Same price. Network okay. Perkele.

Been with Vultr since 2020, got my "anniversary" code, applied it, cart went UP? Turns out it removed the existing bulk discount I already had? Mate? Chur for nothing I guess. Loyalty program is just a marketing spreadsheet with our names on it. Yeah nah.
