Hey sorry for the late bump, it's been a month but I wanted to close the loop.
The real Support Hours are in the Terms, but they hide them well
You were right. I dug through the Vultr terms and from memory their Starter plans have something like 24/7 automated triage with next-business-day human response. So 48h was actually within SLA. The chatbot escalation just dumps you in a queue.
I ended up moving to Hostinger's slightly pricier tier since they do have overnight chat with actual humans. Not shilling, just noting that the gap between "24/7" and *24/7* is real money.
Thanks all for the reality check.

250 days and still nothing changed I bet
My site broke at 3am and I got the chatbot for 20 minutes
Did you ever try their "priority ticket" upgrade or was that also chatbot-only at night
I am curious if Vultr even logs those 3am chats or if they just vanish into the void

Still relevant.
"24/7 Monitoring" not "24/7 Response" is the oldest trick
The trick works because nobody reads the SLA until after the outage. Vultr's marketing page has "24/7" in 24px bold and the actual coverage window in 8px grey on grey. I stand by what I said: capability was there, availability was not. The fix time being 2 minutes proves the human knew exactly what to do. They just weren't rostered. If you're shopping now, check whether "24/7" modifies "support", "monitoring", or "infrastructure". Only the first one means a human answers at 3am.
