10TB+ on $5 budget: pipe dream or possible?

CloudCone only has Los Angeles datacenter. If your audience is US east coast + western EU, that's... not ideal. Latency to Wellington from LA is 180ms on a good day. I can't imagine EU is better.

Bro why are you all talking about podcast network on GAMING SERVER BUDGET
Just rent hetzner cx11 and call it a day
Wait no hetzner bandwidth is not 10TB for $5
Ok I see the problem now
Still GAMING SERVERS ONLY

This is why I say GreenCloudVPS network is "meh" help. I get 10TB easy but my users in EU complain. I try RackNerd in Amsterdam — https://www.racknerd.com — better for EU, but CPU is slower than GreenCloud. Always trade.

Reseller chain
I think he means someone buys dedicated server with unmetered port, slices into VPS, sells on LowEndBox. RackNerd does this sometimes with their "promo" plans. But the upstream can still rate-limit or null-route if you actually use the bandwidth.

Yes! This is what I try to say before I delete my long post. The "reseller chain" - buy dedicated, slice, sell cheap. But upstream has AUP. You push 10TB real traffic, they look. Is not "unmetered" like water, is unmetered like "we hope you not use." Jajaja. I learn this with seedbox, same psychology.

I compile chromium for relaxation. My build farm uses Hetzner. Their egress is 20TB then you pay per TB after. Not $5. But reliable. For $5 you are not buying bandwidth, you are buying hope. Hope is not a valid infrastructure strategy. I have 128GB RAM. I do not hope for memory.
