Provider fixed it. 47 minutes downtime. Upbeacon alerted at 2 min, their status page updated at 38 min. This is why we can't have nice things.

Has anyone tried Vector instead? It can replace both promtail and loki in some setups. Vector has disk buffers and can ship to a cheap S3-compatible store, then you query with something else. Not exactly aggregation but for "search later" it works.

Has anyone mentioned that 200 concurrent 720p streams is maybe 400-600 Mbps sustained? Hetzner CX21 is 200 Mbps. You need CPX31 or better for that pipe, EUR 14.70 — https://www.hetzner.com/cloud.

So origin alone is over $15, plus CDN. The $55 estimate is low. More like $70-80.

I have a system because I learned the hard way. Most people don't until they get burned. The thread is useful for the 10% who will actually implement something before they need it.
