This happens more often with Linux-to-Linux migrations than Windows-to-Windows, since IIS has built-in URL rewrite modules that providers actually test. That's not helpful if you're already on a LAMP stack. The 301 advice above is solid regardless of platform.

I run my CS2 server on an AWS Lightsail instance in Tokyo. 4GB image, 40GB disk plan. The real cost is outbound data transfer, not storage. Docker's convenience is worth the bloat when you're billing by the hour and don't want to spend Saturday fixing dependencies.

Hong Kong electricity is $0.18 USD/kWh and apartments are 400 sq ft. No basement, no barn, no friend's solar.
I run jellyfin on a Hetzner CX21 in Falkenstein. Ping is 180ms but I only need one stream. I used https://www.hetzner.com/cloud for that.
Self-hosting is a geography privilege.

GreenCloudVPS Hong Kong is the same. Single /128, no prefix delegation, support ticket got a "not supported at this time" response. Their Tokyo location might be different but I doubt it. Price is low for a reason.
