My subnet got hijacked for 20 minutes—how do I prevent repeat? · Networking

I am in Cologne and I work at a hoster (not KnownHost). We do RPKI strict mode since 2022. The pain was real: we dropped 3 legitimate prefixes in the first month because their ROAs were wrong. But now it is automatic.

My advice: move to a provider that does RPKI-ROV. KnownHost does not, they are ch...

Broke even at month 14. Would do again but not with 800. At 800 I'd need staff I don't have.

If your P...

Is anyone else's power bill swinging 40% month to month? · Datacenter Talk

I am with Hetzner for colo in FRA1 and price is fixed for 12 months, no swing. Before that I was with Leaseweb Amsterdam and same story as you: "energy surcharge" line item that changed every month. I moved out.

The "local utility benchmark" language is standard for them. I think it tracks EEX day-...
