I checked once. OVHcloud Vint Hill, 99.91% over 2 years. I opened ticket. They said "your monitoring tool is wrong, use ours." Their tool said 99.99%. I said "show me the raw data." They closed ticket.

Now I use both and report the worse number to myself. This is called "management."

So on a 4 EUR plan you are fighting for maybe 3.80 EUR back. The principle matters but my time has value too.

Contabo's PDF says "pro-rata upon request" but their system doesn't automate it?

This is why I only buy annual now. No more than 12 months of exposure. The discount is worse but the sleep is better.

This is the real insight of the thread. Not nines. Cost of failure vs cost of prevention.

For hospital, failure cost is lawsuit and death. For warung web, failure cost is one WhatsApp.
