It is host backup that you can download. The difference is whether you automate the download. If you log in monthly and download, that is your own. If you never do, it is host only.

Mesh backup is not stupid, it is just not a backup. It is redundancy. Different thing. Backup means you can get a file from Tuesday even if you deleted it Wednesday. Mesh sync will delete it everywhere.
