rsync.net for VPS backups—ZFS send/receive worth the premium? · VPS Hosting

I looked at rsync.net for my Leaseweb dedi in Amsterdam. The ZFS thing is nice but I ended up with borgmatic to BorgBase. Similar price to Hetzner, good enough for my use case. The 4x premium is hard to swallow when you are just one person.

I am in Rotterdam and I use Leaseweb for colocation. Their spare parts program is real but you need to be a colo customer, not just a dedicated renter. I have gotten same-day drive swaps by calling their Amsterdam NOC directly.

Karhu is good shout. I got the Fusion 2.5 in lunar rock from a shop here in Rotterdam. €130, which hurts, but they don't scream at you.
