This thread convinced me to try Contabo for a plex server. Anyone running plex on the 4GB plan? Transcoding expectations?

First boot only. For ongoing changes you still need something else, but sarahjey said provisioning. Most people conflate the two.

Then just use cloud-init with Debian. Write your config once, feed it on reinstall, done. No ongoing agent, no inventory.
