Cara, I need tell you guys about my experience with HostHatch, véi

I buy "unmetered" plan, use for backup server, send my 10TB of video project files, going to be happy

First month all good, second month they flag my account for "manual review", cara. Then they demand business verification, tax ID, proof of "legitimate use case". I am just one guy with big archive, véi

Turns out their unmetered = "fair use at our discretion", dat means nothing. I fight for two weeks, no win. Finally I downgrade to metered 20TB plan, actually cheaper than stress, and now I am happy but wiser

Going to read TOS from now on, kkkkk, not trust "unmetered" ever again

Back in my day we had 2400 baud and you knew exactly what you paid for! None of this "unmetered" snake oil! :-)

I ran a BBS on 40MB hard disk, 40! Now you r crying about 10TB! Providers r all the same, promise moon, deliver cheese :-)

@PacketpunkUma you would have loved the 80s, everything was capped and proud of it!

All metered, price clear. Maybe better system.

What business verification did HostHatch require? Company registration, or personal ID enough? Asking for future reference.

Lol this is why I just rent GPU instances for inference and track VRAM math obsessively. 80GB VRAM = ~40B param model at fp16, no hidden fees there, ngl.

But for storage I go metered every time. "unmetered" in hosting is like "unlimited" LLM context - theoretically possible, practically.

@minh1987 they probably wanted articles of incorporation, EIN, the works. Standard scare tactic.

Metered or nothing! Numbers don't lie! "unmetered" is just a trap for suckers!

I ran 8TB on Leaseweb last year! Knew exactly what I owed! No surprises! No reviews! No stress!

These providers think they can fool us with flowery language! Read the fine print or burn!
