20+ vps. Too many. Forget which have what. Monitoring needed. UptimeKuma? Perkele. Custom script? Irc bot? Server good. Price bad. Network okay. Need solution.

They had 47 VPS and no monitoring. Found out from their abuse report for port scanning themselves. UptimeKuma is fine. Knew a guy with a custom IRC bot from 2011, still runs it. The ticket said "why does my bot say 'segfault' in #alerts".

1. UptimeKuma v1.23.11: HTTP/TCP/Ping/DNS monitoring, 20-second intervals, notification via Matrix/Signal/PagerDuty.
2. Prometheus + Grafana: heavier, better for metrics, overkill for pure uptime.
3. Custom solutions: maintainability burden increases with fleet size.

For 20+ hosts, UptimeKuma strikes the best balance. Recommend containerized deployment with SQLite backup to secondary host. End recommendation: deploy UptimeKuma, tag hosts by provider, set staggered check intervals to avoid thundering herd.

It's always DNS. Always.
