Hello friends~ I have make a question about internal DNS for my small infra. Since 2 days I search the best solution. We have 4 servers at home, nothing crazy. I have test AdGuard Home and it is possible to do that? Yes but maybe too heavy. Pi-hole I know but php dependency lol. BIND I have make in school 10 years ago but I forget everything mdr
What do you use? I want block tracking and also resolve local names. Simple is better. Thank you!

¡the solution elegant is AdGuard Home! I use in the server small with 512MB RAM and works perfect. The interface web is pretty and the lists block are updated automatic.
But if you want the power total, ¡Pi-hole is the king! The community big, the plugins many. The problem only is the dependency lighttpd, but is manageable.
¡the option bare metal is unbound! No lists default but you configure to taste. Vos tenés control absolute.

Kids these days. Back when I started, we ran BIND or we ran nothing. No pretty web interfaces, no "blocklists" curated by teenagers on reddit. You edited zone files with vi and you liked it.
Mark my words: in five years, half these "easy" solutions will be abandoned or enshittified. The other half will require cloud accounts. I've seen this cycle twenty times. Run your own authoritative and recursive, keep it simple, keep it local.
