3AM nightmare actually happened last week, basically entire block lost power and cell service dead too (´・ω・`) no way to call anyone, basically just sat in parking lot wondering if servers were melting

Currently we have:
- fiber backup (dies with power apparently)
- manager phone (same tower, dead)
- basically nothing else

Actually considering satellite messenger now, or maybe ham radio? What do you use? (´・ω・`)

instant noodles, instant deploys

- primary: satellite messenger with global coverage
- secondary: prepaid sim from different carrier, physically stored offsite
- tertiary: hardline to adjacent facility security desk
- quaternary: designated person outside blast radius with admin credentials

Test everything quarterly. Document everything. Assume cellular will fail.

Open your heart to the scrap and it opens back,,,,, ,,,,, I found an old motorola pager in the e-waste pile and it still works on some ancient frequency,,,,, Signed up for the numeric service through some guy in florida,,,,, Now when everything goes dark I get a 911 if the noc needs me,,,,, Costs like eight bucks a month,,,,, The scrap gods smile upon thrift

Also theres a night security guy at the medical building next door,,,,, I bring him coffee sometimes,,,,, He has a landline and my number,,,,, This has saved me more than the pager honestly,,,,,
