So I run 52 boxes across 8 providers (yes, my accountant hates me) and every BF I spin up 3-4 sale instances to see who actually provisions vs who hopes for best
This year I tracked OVHcloud, Vultr, and Hetzner €2/mo specials for 72 hours post-sale.
Results:
- OVHcloud: 94.2% uptime, 3 hard reboots needed, disk IO cratered to 12 MB/s
- Vultr: 99.97%, latency spike to 180ms for 40 min then clean
- Hetzner: complete death after 14 hours, ticket auto-closed 3x
My $/GB/RAM winner: Vultr at 0.0038/GB/hr under load. OVHcloud 2x worse. Hetzner = donation.

I have question, you test with synthetic load or real traffic? I try make similar test but no sure best tool

Maybe Vultr is just lucky this time. You know their network maybe oversold in other regions. You know I had malý server with them in Frankfurt and it was fine but maybe tokyo is different.
You know I think the real winner is whoever refunds fastest... you know 😂
RAM is just fast disk, right?
