Unpopular opinion: outage threads need mandatory proof im tired of the "my host is down" posts with zero evidence like how do we even know youre not just bad at dns Proposal: outage threads require at least one of the following - screenshot of failed ping/mtr from multiple locations
- status page link showing confirmed issue
- traceroute showing where it dies not just "site slow" Otherwise its just noise and everyone piles on the host with no actual data ive seen Hostinger get flamed three times this month and two were user error Yes this is gatekeeping but its gatekeeping for quality fight me Edit: before anyone asks my hosts are fine

I understand your point but it is difficult for beginner to make a server up and running, no? Sometimes they don't know how to make mtr or traceroute. They come here for help, not for exam.

I think we can ask proof gently, not mandatory. Maybe template with commands? I can write one if you want. Regards.

siesta first, deploy later

SWEdish pragmatism here haha no SERver admin without logs

BUT fika first then troubleshoot always

Mandatory proof would kill this forum dead hösting community need place for beginners too

Maybe two tag system: "outage-unverified" and "outage-confirmed" then user decide what to read

"unpopular opinion" "mandatory proof" "gatekeeping for quality"

Allegedly this helps anyone lol

Source: trust me bro

Ive been on "cheap" "unlimited" "support" forums for years. The people who cant provide proof are usually the ones who need help most. You want to exclude them for formatting errors? "allegedly" your proposal fixes nothing

Also lol at "my hosts are fine" while posting in general-discussion at 3 AM. Suspicious energy
