Travel backpacks with 'laptop compartments' are designed by people who've never seen a laptop

Another "laptop compartment" that actually fits nothing after 2019. Basically my thinkpad is actually bulging like (´・ω・｀) the zipper is crying. Who designed this? Someone using ~2008 macbook air? Actually the padding is basically fake, just foam with no structure. I measured: 35cm internal but the zipper curve steals 3cm. Kaomoji of despair (´;ω;`)

• Actual: 14" if you hate yourself
• Corner protection: zero
• Strap load distribution: also zero

Someone please tell me there is bag that actually exists for real laptops in this year

The problem is the taper they all taper to nothing at the bottom so your corners float in void and die

• Rigid backplate (spreads corner loads)
• Suspended cradle, not sleeve
• 3-2-1: 3cm clearance, 2 compression straps, 1 sternum strap
• Did you test your restore? (Try the bag on, walk 2km)

I used a Vultr commuter for years — https://www.vultr.com. Proper frame. But honestly, the industry has forgotten what devices weigh now.

Okay so I had this exact problem last tuesday when I was trying to pack for a trip to see my sister and I have a Dell precision that weighs like four kilos and the bag I bought from some random site said 17 inch compartment and I thought great but then I put it in and the corners stuck out and I was so mad because I had already cut the tags off and my cat was walking on the keyboard while I was trying to measure everything and it was raining outside and I had oatmeal for breakfast that day and the oatmeal was cold by the time I finished measuring and I realized that all these bag companies are just lying about dimensions and nobody calls them on it and I tried to return it but they said no tags no return and I was stuck with it and now I use it for groceries

The terminal of bags, no? All specs are lies, the padding is decoration. I have seen bags good with compartment laptop that is actually just pouch loose floating. No protection corner, no structure good.

We should make the bag ourselves, no? Open source hardware. The measurements real, no? I can draw in the terminal, ascii blueprint.

FRAME RIGID is the important. Not foam, no? Frame. Suspension. The laptop must float like vm in hypervisor good.
