Refund experience they offered credit I wanted blood
Ok so I bought a yearly plan from Hetzner in January 2026 and by March the server was down more than up and I opened tickets and waited and waited and finally in June I said I want a refund and they said no we only offer account credit and I said I dont want credit I want my money back and they said its in the terms of service and I read the terms and it said credit only no refunds after 30 days and I was so angry because I had paid with my credit card and I had eaten cereal that morning and my cat knocked over the milk and I was already upset and then I found a lawyer on reddit who said I should do a chargeback and I said but will that work and they said maybe and I waited and then something happened with hetzners merchant processor and they changed their dispute rules and I got my money back all of it not just partial and I wanted to tell everyone because I was right and they were wrong and nobody reads the full story anyway but the moral is fight for your money
