Canceled my HostHatch VPS in april. Card expired march. Got charge yesterday for annual renewal. $47. How.

Bank says "account updater" service. Card network gives new number to merchant automatically. I never opted in.

Card: ****4532 (expired)
Charged: ****4532 (new, unannounced)
Merchant: HOSTHATCH LLC
Amount: $47.00

Virtual card numbers only from now. Which banks offer good ones?

fio, iperf, geekbench. results or gtfo.

Just use a bank that doesn't betray you to merchants. Skill issue.

Seriously though this "account updater" garbage is why I pay for EVERYTHING with virtual cards now. My actual card number has never touched the internet.

Your bank's "convenience feature" is their revenue feature
