Hostinger shared bronze, revisited

Last june I posted a glowing review of Hostinger's shared bronze plan. I recommended it without reservation. I was wrong.

  • Uptime june 2025 to march 2025: 99.7 percent. Acceptable.
  • Uptime march 2025 to present: 97.1 percent. Three unplanned outages. No root cause published.
  • Ticket response time: degraded from four hours to thirty-one hours median.
  • The "unlimited" bandwidth policy now carries an undefined "fair use" clause added february 2025.
  • My original thread: https://hostpeers.com/showthread.php?t=c0892

I no longer recommend this plan. The price held steady at 3.99 monthly, but reliability did not. I should have included caveats about budget host fragility. I did not. That is a failure of due diligence on my part.

For those still on bronze, monitor your own uptime. Do not trust the status page; it lagged actual outages by twelve to twenty minutes in two of three cases.

What was the longest outage duration

$3/year. 128MB RAM. Pure happiness.
