Well I finally did it after ten years of paying monthly for my VPS at Contabo I saw they had a yearly deal 40 percent off if you paid up front and I thought thats good math martha I had just had my oatmeal with blueberries that morning because they were on sale at the grocery store and my cat Mr whiskers was sitting on the desk watching me click the button and the weather was overcast but not raining yet so I went ahead and charged the whole year to my credit card and three months later guess what they announced they were shutting down and I had nine months left and they said sorry no refunds due to bankruptcy proceedings and I had to migrate everything in a weekend and Mr whiskers kept walking on the keyboard and I lost the money and the time and now I am back to monthly and I will never do yearly again and nobody reads these long posts anyway but I am still angry

Oh no... that's rough... yearly billing is such a trap... especially with these budget places... they offer the discount because they need the cash flow now... not because they want to save you money... you get the idea...
