Surviving week on hotel Wi-Fi as primary connection. Made this test because fiber cut in my building sir. Hotel Wi-Fi is only option bro. Speed was 8 down, 2 up. Packet loss 3-7% in evening. SSH session drop every 20 minute sir. Thank you very much sir for reading. I document here for warning to others. Do not recommend bro. VPN over UDP helped little. TCP meltdown is real sir.

traffic worse than my packet loss

Right then, 3-7% loss and drops every twenty minute? That's not Wi-Fi mate, that's a war crime. TCP meltdown on hotel kit is grim, been there with a Premier Inn in Brum once.

That is worse than a single LTE modem in a 1U supermicro. I have shipped pallets to better-connected warehouses. Real numbers from my last remote job: 50ms baseline, need under 1% loss for stable wireguard. Your hotel was running consumer gear, probably one AP per floor, 2.4GHz only. I would have demanded refund or tethered to phone immediately.
