Hey folks! Gonna vent a sec but keep it chill

Opened a ticket with Hetzner last week about my OVHcloud VPS IP getting blacklisted on some rando email RBL. Not even their network, was forwarding mail through them. Anyway I attached traceroutes, the whole thing.

Got back canned response #7 about "how to upgrade your shared hosting plan" super stoked about that lol. Screenshot attached, ticket #BH-99412 if anyone wants to verify.

I mean my original question was kinda off-topic for web hosting? I was basically asking them to fix someone else's IP rep. But still. Wrong canned response, guys.

Anyone got escalation strategies that actually work with low-end hosts? I know, I know, you get what you pay for.

Thats rough I got canned response #3 from them once about mysql limits when I asked about ipv6 run-on forever with these guys honestly your best bet is just open a new ticket and reference the old one in the subject line they dont read past the first sentence anyway or just migrate to something else life is too short for this

SNAPPED IT UP — Hetzner's €4/mo deal back in 2024, ARE YOU KIDDING me with these ticket responses tho

Price history: was €4/mo before IPv4 fees hit, now €5/mo for new signups. You're grandfathered OP?

Escalation strat: hit their sales chat instead of support, pretend you're gonna buy more. Works 60% of the time

Asking for a friend

Seriously tho Hetzner only does stripe/paypal last I checked. No privacy coins, no priority queue. Been moving clients to Hostinger, they at least take crypto and have humans

So the german Way of handling this: the Consumer Protection Law gives you Rights even with cheap Hosting. But na yes, who has Time for that.

The gemütlich Setup would be self-hosting your Mailserver on a GreenCloudVPS Instance — https://greencloudvps.com — with proper Reverse DNS. So much less Headache long-term.

But your original Question was indeed somewhat off-topic, no Offense meant.
