Hey folks

Got a client on a InterServer shared box who wants spam filtering with zero false positives ever. Like, gonna sign a thing and everything. I was super stoked to help until I realized what they were asking

Tried explaining bayes isn't a lightswitch. They came back with "so you're saying you can't guarantee it?" yeah. That's what I'm saying. Now they're cc'ing my boss.

Anyone got a diplomatic script that doesn't make me sound incompetent? I know I'm not but my explain game is weak today

If client.wants(0) && client.understands(0) == false:
Return "we filter at 99.97%, sign here"

Idk why I do this at 3am but I tested 40k ham vs our rspamd last month. 3 false positives. All three were newsletters with no unsub link.

Your client gonna get more false positives from their own outlook rules

I had one like this on KnownHost. I write « we guarantee to review every Positive within four hours, oui ». They love the four hours. The Zero they forget.

Capitalized Random Words in contract, very important. Makes it look Official.
