Upgraded my dedicated box from skylake to sapphire rapids last week and honestly idk why I do this anymore anyway heres the numbers
skylake e3-1270v5: openssl speed -evp aes-256-gcm 3.2GB/s
sapphire 4410y: openssl speed -evp aes-256-gcm 3.8GB/sThats it. Six years. 400w vs 150w tdp though so my power bill thanks me I guess anyone else feel this way or am I just chasing silicon ghosts at 3am again
Have you tested the AVX-512 workloads also? Kindly share the results for the emulator workloads also, as the sapphire rapids generation is very much optimized for the vector instructions only. The single-thread performance itself may not impress you, but the throughput for the specific workloads is very much improved only. Kindly do the needful and test with the yuzu or ryujinx emulator builds.

Brooo I feel you but you need to make the right test!! We make a test with AVX-512 on our render farm and is very good actually the improvement is not on crypto or web but on the video encoding!! Try svt-av1 with the asm enabled you will see the difference!! Also the power efficiency is very good for us in brazil because electricity is expensive here dont give up on the new gen!!
Hej tallinnying, you test on server wrong thing. Into config for emulator is very big difference. I have malý server with sapphire rapids and he run yuzu very good with AVX-512. No problem. Before on skylake was terrible. No articles needed for this, is clear. No? You try dolphin benchmark also, hej?
