The ticket said "your vps is receiving 400GB nightly inbound, please explain"

It was my backup target. Explained. They asked "what are you backing up". I said "other VPSes". They asked "on their network?". I said "some of them". Three day silence. Then "this is acceptable use".

So yes. Meta-VPS. One RackNerd box in LA doing nothing but catching restic from four continents. Elegant recursion. Geographic separation from sources. They have never heard of me before I paid.

Teh meta vps lol I do this too man. Rentd a Hetzner box soleyy for borg. My main vps it backs up to teh backup vps. Backup vps backs up to... anotehr backup vps? I call it backup squared. You figure it out he says. Runns me like $8/month total. No apostrphes no edits no problem.

Mano this is genius kkkkk I have my VPS it crashed last month, nossa! Now I rent Hostinger just for he receive backups. My main is on Contabo, backup on Hostinger, caramba! More fast restore if one provider die. But my friend he say "why not same provider more fast network" I say "mano if provider die you lose everything" he is convinced now kkkkk

I had three levels. Backup of backup of backup. Deleted the post. Now I say: two levels max. Geographic separation beats provider diversification for same money. My b/v opinion.

HostHatch in BR receives from InterServer in DE. Latency is bad. Restore is slow. But if EU burns, my data is very safe. Jajaja
