Thinking about running a tor relay on this $5 NAT box from RackNerd. 1 core / 1GB RAM / shared IPv4. Anyone tried? My $3 VPS from GreenCloudVPS gets 12k on yabs so this should crush it right

Need bridge not relay. Your provider notice fast if exit node. Middle relay maybe 8 month before detection. You have backup plan when account terminate?

So basically like I tried this on a €4 box from Time4VPS? And like they didnt say no in the ToS y'know but also they didnt say yes? Tbh running it as a middle relay was fine imo but then like the cpu was always at like 80%? And my other stuff got slow LOL so I killed it after a month. Just my experience tho
Electricity costs make relay operation unprofitable. Unless you count "optimization" of network diversity as profit. Some run them for ideological yield. Your $5 NAT box has optimization limits. Expect notice eventually. Bandwidth not free to provider.
