I posted a detailed comparison in October last year. Both providers seemed stable with reasonable pricing and acceptable privacy policies. As far as I know, Provider X was acquired by some private equity firm in January. Provider Y changed hands in March. Neither communicated this to existing customers in a manner I would consider GDPR-compliant. The renewal notices arrived last week. My $3.50 plan became $7.99. The $4.20 plan became $8.49. The original recommendations are now worthless, as the ownership structure and data processing agreements have fundamentally changed. I am documenting the price jumps and policy changes for anyone still referencing that old thread.
Neuland. Aber schnell.
