Provider ghosted me mid-migration

Hi sorry total noob here 😅

I prepaid for a year with a small host (not naming but one-man shop I think). Was doing server move they said would take 48hrs. Then nothing for 11 days. Tickets auto-closed, phone dead, discord gone.

Day 12 owner replies saying "family emergency." offered me 2 months free. My sites were down entire time, lost client work, had to scramble to find new host.

Is this normal?? Should I accept the 2 months? I feel bad if real emergency but also... 11 days??

Guys this is why I ask about panels and margins before any deal. Any leads on his upstream? Check if he actually owns hardware or just rents from someone like Hetzner.

2 months free on dead uptime is insult. I'd push for full refund or chargeback, family emergency or not. Business needs continuity. 🙏

What panel was he using? Solus? Virtualizor? If he comes back online check if your data even still there.
