Poll: Would you pay 20% more for guaranteed no-renewal hikes?

Simple question. Contabo just sent me a renewal notice: €18/yr became €48/yr "due to market adjustments." Classic bait. Their "price lock guarantee" apparently only locks the *intro* price for month one.

Got me thinking. If RackNerd or whoever offered +20% upfront but actually held it for 3+ years, would you bite? Or is this just "skill issue, should've read the terms"?

I run 11 VPSen across 6 providers (). The renewal dance is half my hobby budget. Just use a spreadsheet, I know. But still curious where folks land.

Vote: Yes / No / Just use Oracle free tier

If it's still 512MB on a crowded node, hard pass. My home lab has 256GB DDR4 and I run truenas on a r730xd with dual e5-2680v4, so maybe I'm spoiled, but these budget hosts skimp on the one thing that matters. 20% more for 1GB guaranteed vs 512MB "burstable" to 1GB? Different conversation. Otherwise it's just paying more for the same oversold garbage.
