Poll time: what's your longest-running BGP session? No cheating, no "well technically the TCP stayed up" — actual established, prefix-exchanging bgp.

Mine's a fun little project: 847 days on a pair of NAT VPS boxes from RackNerd, Bird 2.0 talking to my ISP's edge. It actually works. They wanted to charge for BGP until I sent them a config that needed zero hand-holding.

show protocols bgp
  BGP: isp_edge (Established)
    State: Established
    Table: master4
    Preference: 100
    Input filter: default_in
    Output filter: default_out
    Routes: 12 imported, 1 exported
    Last state change: 847d 04:12:33

Post yours. Winner gets... respect, I guess.

works on my bench ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tomchan: I have 1,203 days with CloudCone. Is small isp in spain, make a server up with old cisco. Very stable, no change config ever. Regards.

Maybe I win? 😊

The longest I got is 94 dys on a GreenCloudVPS vm I found on the forums. Kept dyign when they moved my node. No apostrophes in bgp config either. Runs peer together sometimes you figure it out he says. Refuses to edit posts ever. My isp wuldnt even give me full table said I wasnt worth their time. 94 dys is my record. You figure it out.
