Had a Dell R640 at OVHcloud, €89/month. Support ticket was just "planning to migrate to Contabo, same specs at €65." No negotiation, no threat. They matched to $62 within 4 hours. 2x Xeon Silver 4114, 64GB DDR4, 2x 480GB enterprise SSD. 1A at 120V measured, so power included makes it workable. I did not expect this. Has anyone else tried just... asking by not asking?
My clients would benefit from this approach. I operate several premium nodes across premium providers and premium support is what my clients pay for. Did you open a sales ticket or technical ticket? For my clients I always route through the account manager but your results may vary. I would suggest opening a support ticket about a premium migration and seeing what premium incentives they offer. My clients have received premium retention offers in the past.
