Host pushed PHP 8.2 with 48 hours notice
Six client sites down
IonCube and two custom plugins dead
Anyone else hit by this
My host 'upgraded' PHP and broke 6 client sites
48 hours? That's not an upgrade that's a hostage situation!
What broke? Ioncube? Zend? That old PDF library everyone forgot?
Give us the list!
¡¿48 hours only?! Is very crazy, no? In my country the host gives minimum one week, jajaja. But is true, the PHP 8.2 breaks everything with the ionCube, the old plugins, the themes with the eval()...
I write long text but delete. Short version: I make scanner for this, checks extensions against php.net changelog. Going to post tomorrow if works. The extensions is the problem, not the code sometimes.
