Got hit with a 500Gbps DDoS last month
Didn't even notice until the bill showed up
Turns out "clean pipe" still charges by the gigabyte
Anyone else get burned by this?
My DDoS story: 500Gbps and I only noticed from the bill
NUT I feel you; $3400 overage. Same thing last quarter. Automatic mitigation. Automatic billing. No automatic mercy. My story. KnownHost scrubbed it fine. Never dropped a packet. Then invoice hit; "clean pipe overage" at $0.02/gb. Multiplied by 500k. Nice math. Called support; "we can offer payment plan". Not refund. Still fighting;
