Hey folks
We've been seeing more provider dispute threads lately and honestly some of them have been getting out of hand. After talking it over with the team here's what we're changing on HostPeers starting today.
Dispute threads stay public. We think transparency matters and hiding everything behind closed doors doesn't help anyone figure out which hosts are actually reliable. BUT you need to post your actual ticket number when you open one. No "I opened a ticket and they ignored me" without proof. Screenshot the ticket ID or don't post.
Providers get 72 hours to reply before we let the pile-on start. That means if you tag Contabo or OVHcloud or whoever, they get a real window to show up and explain. We've talked to most of the regulars here and they're on board.
Threads lock when it turns into name-calling. "Scam" gets thrown around way too easy these days. If the conversation stops being about facts, we stop it.
