Mini-guide: Timing your purchase around fiscal quarter ends

Hey folks

Been bouncing between providers for like 3 years and I finally figured out the cheat code. Fiscal quarter ends. Sales teams are DESPERATE to hit numbers and you can absolutely use this.

Q1 ends march 31. Q2 june 30. Q3 sept 30. Q4 dec 31.

I hit up three providers last week (march 28-30) asking for "best available rate on annual commit." got 25% off at one place, free setup waived at another, and third threw in double ram for 6 months. None of those deals showed on their websites. Had to ask.

The trick: don't say "discount." say "help me close this before quarter end." use their language. They're chasing quota not cutting coupons.

Gonna test again in june. Super stoked to see if it holds

Anyone else tried this? What worked?

SWEet tip Marcus! Tried this with a SERver hösting outfit in stöckhölm. Fika'd my way through three emails? Got 40% off annual because their Q1 was "underperforming against nordic market projections."

Umlauts make everything look more SERious apparently.

Gonna try Q2 ending june 30. Anyone want to fika the results together?
