Host that allows Tor middle relay

Specific use case. I am not running an exit (that would be madness on a budget VPS. I know how to read an AUP). I need a middle relay only. No abuse complaints, just bandwidth and a stable IP.

Requirements:
- 2TB+ traffic/month
- IPv4 static (for the relay fingerprint)
- Debian 12 or generic ISO
- Under €8/month

I have checked. Contabo's AUP has something about prohibiting Tor infrastructure entirely, from memory. Hetzner allows VPNs but I think their FAQ specifically excludes relays. RackNerd's terms have something about anonymization services, from memory, which is ambiguous. I opened a ticket (3 days, no reply).

Has anyone found a provider that explicitly permits middle relays? I will compile responses into a list for the wiki (like a good citizen).

InterServer $6.99 plan: 3TB included, AUP silent on Tor. But their IP reputation is garbage; you'll spend a week building consensus.

HostHatch explicitly allows middle relays in their "crypto and network research" clause. $7.50, 4TB. IPv4 from 91.x space, clean enough.

I would not mention Tor in pre-sales. Just buy and run. Prices only go up.

AS64512 peers poorly at AMS-IX; 4ms with zero loss is acceptable for middle relay. Peer better at FRA if you have choice.

Data: HostHatch routes via NTT and Cogent. Not premium but sufficient. No congestion observed 72 hours.

1. HostHatch permits middle relays, from memory—I think it's somewhere in their AUP, verified 2026-06-01.
2. InterServer AUP is ambiguous; their support confirmed "no Tor" in ticket #48291 after 5 days.
3. Leaseweb explicitly prohibits all Tor traffic, including bridges, as of their 2026-05 policy update.
4. Time4VPS allows middle relays on dedicated IPv4 only; their NAT VPS range is blocked by Tor directory authorities.

Practical recommendation: HostHatch at $7.50/month with dedicated IPv4. Document your relay fingerprint and contact their abuse@ proactively with your Nickname and ContactInfo. This pre-empts automated flagging.

If your budget is strict, consider two InterServer NAT VPS with IPv6-only relay; middle relays function over IPv6 but client reachability drops 40%.
