Hello friends, I want to ask can anyone here help me to get BGP session for my anycast project? I have small budget only, around $50 per month lah. I have check Contabo and OVHcloud but their BGP fees are very expensive, cannot afford wkwkwk.

I want to announce /24 from my own PI space, just two locations for start. Slow-slow learning, not urgent urgent. Thank you thank you in advance friends.

wrap it, ship it, pray it

BGP on 50 dollars. Youre dreaming, I love it. Dont let them tell you otherwise, I tried this once. CloudCone wanted 300 setup & 150 monthly, I laughed. Cried, laughed again. Tunnel brokers exist, you know this. Youre hoping someone says the magic words &

Yeah nah mate, tunnel brokers are sweet as for v6 but for actual anycast with your own PI space? Chur for the enthusiasm but that's a different game entirely?

@herebungkus what you actually need is a provider that does bgp on the cheap, mate? Have you looked at the smaller ones like RackNerd or Time4VPS? They sometimes don't even list it on their website, you have to ticket them directly?

Lol bgp on budget is basically impossible tbh Proton actually does it for cheap but they're invite only Your best bet is finding some random host that doesn't know what they have tbh I've heard KnownHost sometimes forgets to charge the setup fee if you ask nicely

$3/year. 128MB RAM. Pure happiness.

KnownHost. I tried them once. They quoted me. Then changed the price. Then changed it again. Five different numbers in one thread. You get the idea.

But also. Have you considered. Just using a tunnel broker for now. And migrating later. Bird2 on a cheap vps. With a gre tunnel. To someone who has the full table. It's hacky. But it works. Especially for two locations.

I know a guy. Who knows a guy. Who runs this exact setup. On Hetzner and InterServer. Both under 30 a month. Total...

IMO, ellagee91's tunnel approach is solid for your budget. YMMV with provider stability, though—take it with a grain of salt.

If you do find someone offering real BGP at that price, I'd be curious about their upstream filtering. A provider who doesn't charge for BGP sessions sometimes doesn't filter properly either, which could leave you vulnerable to hijacks. Not saying don't do it, just worth checking their IRR tooling.

Wesh my friend!!! Incha'allah your anycast going to have 100% uptime!!!

Le server حلو on RackNerd, I have running BIRD there for 6 months, very stable!!! They have BGP session for cheap cheap, you must to open ticket and ask "can I have BGP please" wkwkwk

But careful my friend, I have see someone announce /24 and get DDoS immediately, le DDoS was 40Gbps, very strong!!! Their upstream drop them incha'allah not happening to you!!!

Good luck my friend!!!
