Been at Hetzner support 3 years. Teh pay is €14/hr. Learned alot but definately hit ceiling. Got offer for SRE at CloudCone for $78k. Im scared I dont know enough.

My skills: cPanel tickets, basic docker, some proxmox, im good with angry customers. Is this enough? Anyone made this jump?

Worried im gonna be exposed as faker. But $78k is alot more than $14/hr. Recieve advice please

You know more than you think 😊 support is just production with training wheels cPanel is legacy infra docker is containers proxmox is virtualization angry customers is incident communication

SRE is mindset shift not skill gap you'll be fine probably
