The battery died with 20 minutes left and now I cant stop thinking about it
I know the ending probably but I dont KNOW the ending and this is worse somehow

The real crime is airline seatback screens. 480p, scratched, and they always freeze at the good part. I bring my own tablet now but the battery anxiety is real.

This. I had the seatback screen too but it was some film I'd already seen. Switched to my laptop for the new thing and paid the price.
Glasgow to Doha is long enough that "charge before you board" is not a complete strategy apparently
Long haul is just distributed systems with worse failover. No redundancy on personal battery.
I solve this with two power banks and a phone that still has a headphone jack. Estonian budget airlines taught me this.
