Mano I put he my dell R740 in the apartment closet and my girlfriend she measure 68dB at the door caramba!!! She say "he or me" about the server kkkkk I think she joking but no she pack bag yesterday nossa what I do mano I try put blanket inside but no help more fast need solution mano my homelab he is my life kkkkk not funny actually
68dB at door still can lah. Acoustic foam lor. Or move to balcony leh. Girlfriend gone already no need think so much.

I had a boyfriend back in 2019 who did the same thing and I remember it was a tuesday morning and I was eating oatmeal with blueberries that I got on sale at the grocery store on corner of 5th and main and the cat Mr whiskers he jumped off the couch when the fan spun up and it was raining outside not that that matters but the point is I told him and told him and he didnt listen and now im here to tell you that you need to build a room inside a room with mass loaded vinyl and green glue and double drywall and I did all this research when it happened to me and people never read the whole thing but if they did they would know that the key is decoupling the framing and using resilient channels and I spent three weeks on the forums back then and nobody appreciated it
Same. My roommate measured 72dB with an R640 and almost moved out.
